During my tenure at the University of Nicosia, I actively participated in various competitions spanning diverse fields. These competitions provided invaluable opportunities to showcase skills, collaborate with peers, and delve deeper into different areas of interest. Engaging in such events not only honed my abilities but also fostered a spirit of competitiveness and continuous learning.

Book Cover: Body Image (Winning Design)

The winning book cover for the competition reflects how people perceive themselves in mirrors. Some feel insecure about their appearance and strive to achieve what they see as the ‘perfect body’ by altering their skin’s appearance. However, every person’s body varies in shape and size.

The author, Eleni P. Andreou, Vice President of the Mazi Institution, aimed to raise awareness about eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia. The goal was to prevent such illnesses by teaching individuals to embrace their bodies as they are, adopt healthy eating habits, and seek help when needed.

The Award Ceremony took place at the Hilton Hotel in 2010.

Logo: Wine Club UNIC (Winning Design)

This winning logo design emerged from extensive research for the ‘Wine Society.’ It drew inspiration from the shape of a wine bottle, a key vessel in wine presentation. The society’s primary event is wine tasting.

The typography chosen for Wine Society is ‘Perpetua Titling MT’ light, a serif typeface that maintains the historical context of wine. The glass bottle, prominently displayed, symbolizes the variety of wines available, from Rosé and White to Red. Each wine possesses unique characteristics in smell, taste, and color.

The black color used in the typeface signifies formality and sophistication, mirroring the society’s offerings such as seminars and excursions aimed at enriching knowledge about wines.
